I don’t know what he might think of all this, but I miss terribly the songs he didn’t write. They both took part in a special aired last night on TBS radio: Ozaki Yutaka Tanjo 50nen – Tokubetsu bangumi BIRTH. Yutaka Ozaki (尾崎 豊 Ozaki Yutaka, November 29, 1965 – April 25, 1992) was a popular Japanese musician. He is ranked at No. 23 in a list of Japan's top 100 musicians by HMV. He was born in Tokyo Setagaya Ward SDF Central Hospital to Kinue and Kenichi Ozaki. He has one older brother, Yasushi. Early in life, he was hospitalized with intestinal torsion and bronchitis which subsequently weakened his internal organs. In 1973 he began studying martial arts and continued training throughout his life

Ozaki Yutaka is one of the most iconic singer/songwriters of Japan. Debuting in 1983 with "15 no Yoru", he won the hearts of Japanese teenagers who could relate to his realistic lyrics about love, rebellion, and growing up. He died an untimely death on April 25, 1992 of heart failure, most likely brought on by an overdose. Since then, his songs have been covered many times by the popular artists of today.
