This Gemini album, some years ago, was in the bargain bin in many stores and online retailers. Since then I don't know what happened. Maybe it's the sheer mystery what happened to Gemini that is pushing the prices. Or maybe he became hipster cool recently. Or then people with pockets full of cash found him. I just don't know. What I find troubling is that this is very much average house album. Nothing stands out. With a great album you have the peaks and valleys. This album, I don't hate it but I don't love it either.

Gemini ‎– The Music Hall. Label: Cyclo ‎– CYC 0005. Format: 2 Vinyl, 12", Album. And here's another old-men-speaking cliché: his older productions are better. No, really, they are. Not just because they are rare or sought after, they are musically better and interesting to listen to. Of course I'm reflecting my own preferences but I find it hard to believe that this would be that great album to spend dozens of bucks, euros, or yens.

But then again, Gemini has always been affiliated with creative labels, from his earliest days on Cajual until now. Of course, there's not really a bad track on here. There are a few that are perhaps too long (a common result of making music in terms of dancefloors), but "Raplh" does an outstanding job displaying Kincy's advanced musicality. Live and program drums weave together with some tasteful keyboard work.

Since it first appeared back in 1999, Gemini's fourth full-length, The Music Hall, has become something of a sought-after item. Happily, Chi Wax has decided to re-master and re-issue it. Predictably, it's stood the test of time rather well, with Gemini - real name Spencer Kincy - serving up a whirlwind tour of late '90s Chicago obsessions.

Gemini Music Productions. Luminaries like Plácido Domingo paid homage to Mr. Rudel and helped keep alive the comeback hopes of the bankrupt company. The conductor James Levine led the ensemble in works by iconoclastic 20th-century composers, but Charles Wuorinen filled in when Mr. Levine withdrew from one piece. Gemini Music Productions. This was Gemini Suite, five long movements inspired by the members of Deep Purple, and performed live in September 1970 at the Royal Festival Hall with The Light Music Society Orchestra (the album of the concert was issued in 1993 as Gemini Suite Live). Jon Lord then recorded it in the studio as his first solo project in 1971, with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Malcolm Arnold and soloists drawn from the rock world. Gemini Suite was an important step for Lord and led to albums such as Windows (1974) and Sarabande (1976)
