Union is the debut album of the rock band Union. The album did relatively well for a lower profile release. It peaked at on the Heatseekers Billboard Chart in 1998. John Corabi - guitar, vocals, producer. Brent Fitz - drums, vocals.

Union is the thirteenth studio album by the English rock band Yes, released on 30 April 1991 by Arista Records. Production began in 1990 following the amalgamation of two bands featuring current and previous members of Yes at the time: Yes, consisting of Chris Squire, Trevor Rabin, Tony Kaye, and Alan White; and Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe (ABWH), consisting of Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, and Bill Bruford.

I find it amazing to think that the ABWH tracks on this album required at least 10 engineers, 4 keyboard players and an additional 8 to play "synths" on this disappointing release. No wonder Rick named it "onion". because it made him cry. Reply Notify me Helpful.

So even if Union had been as good as one hoped, this was an album that couldn't possibly have met the expectations inherent in the array of talent involved. The material is reasonably solid, and under ordinary circumstances this album would have been considered just fine, if not exceptional. I Would Have Waited Forever" shows off the group's vocalizing (by Chris Squire and Jon Anderson) at its most melodic and Steve Howe has one of the most beautiful classical guitar showcases of his Yes career on "Masquerade.

It contains significantly different mixes of most of the ABWH group's material. This release is important because it captures these songs in a state before the producer used session musicians to reshape the songs

What makes Union unsuccessful as an album is simply the same thing that fuelled its existence: the uneven combination of Yes musicians from two radically different eras. The two didn’t match for obvious reasons, and created a lengthy, quite messy collection of songs that mostly range from half-hearted progressive tracks to poppy tunes that were, once again, stretched to a fault. There’s a few gems around that save the record from being poor altogether
