It portrays every little aspect of this band and who they are, from their unique style of music to their deep, untouchable lyrics. The mixture of soft to hard tracks brings harmony to the album and what A Day To Remember stands for. The album walks you through the journey they experienced to get to where they are and how they still remained true to themselves.

Now, fresh out from under a deal with Victory Records and self-releasing their albums, the band's fifth effort, Common Courtesy, seems to push this sound even further. While the band's sound has always had a certain soaring quality to it, there's an unfettered feel about the album that feels refreshing.

  • With it's focus on memory and how far they've come, ADTR's 5th effort is home to very nostalgic, comforting songwriting and heartfelt acoustic ballads. Yet at the same time, it's home to some very well produced, aggressive metalcore pieces as well. A varied unique track listing, with focused song writing and instrumentation, it's one of their strongest albums.Favorite songs: Sometimes You're the Hammer Sometimes You're the Nail, I'm Already Gone, Violence (Enough is Enough), Life Lessons Learned the Hard Way, End of MeLeast favorite songs: Best of Me, Life @ 11

  • Apparently they cut a track with a rap verse in it? That would have been cool to hear. Take a risk or two, ADTR - you've already blown most of the popcore/hardcore competition out of the water, what harm would it do to stray from the beaten path that you've helped create? Still a good record with some seriously good tunes.
