Maria Volonte - Tangos album download
Maria Volonte: Portrait marks Maria’s European debut on the prestigious Network Medien label. 9 VIDAS is a turning point for this Latin Grammy nominee and winner of the Carlos Gardel Prize. It is an album that was recorded live as a band, debuting new compositions and with a sound marked by Maria out in front of the band with her guitar. Winner of the Carlos Gardel Prize and Nominated for a Latin Grammy as Best Tango Album, this sensuous collection of classic tangos performed by the chanteuse of Buenos Aires Maria Volonte, will leave you dreaming of the last (or next?) Buenos Aires love affair. Fuimos is Maria’s tribute to the extraordinary tangos of the 1930s and 1940s. Recorded with her long-time friend and accompanist Horacio Larumbe, Fuimos is musical jewel that introduced Maria to the world stage.

Gian Maria Volonté (9 April 1933 – 6 December 1994) was an Italian actor. In Italy, he was more notable for his roles in high-profile social dramas depicting the political and social stirrings of Italian and European society in the 1960s and 1970s.
Performed by Blue Tango Project (Maria Volonte & Kevin Carrel Footer). Cobián y E. Cadícamo (1937). Recording produced by Laura Ros & Federico Gil Solá (Aloe Estudio). From the album "Blue Tango" (2014 Intrepid Patrol Records). Video created by Blue Tango Project. Proudly made in La Boca. When they play together, Maria’s voice and guitar fill the stage with echoes of tango’s forbidden pleasures while Kevin’s harmonica whines with the lament of the solitary blues soul. The project began at the San Francisco Jazz Festival in May 2008, when María and Kevin debuted new material and a new sound that they had been developing in Buenos Aires. Based on the success of that first show, the Blue Tango Tour was born and years of intense touring in North America, Latin America and Europe have followed.
