Sturla Eide Sundli has been involved in nearly every activity and event where a fiddler can make a contribution. He has held solo concerts and performed together with a number of different groups, and has played at parties, conferences, meetings, celebrations, weddings and funerals. He has played at dances for many years, and has given school concerts under the auspices of the Norwegian Concert Institute since 2001. He arranges and composes music with roots in traditional folk culture, and teaches violin at several educational institutions. Brother of Gunnhild E. Sundli and Sveinung Sundli.

Gunnhild Eide Sundli (born 2 July 1985) is a Norwegian artist. She was born and raised in Orkdal, Norway and now resides in Trondheim. Sundli started to "kvede" (a traditional Norwegian singing tradition) as a nine-year-old, and has since also been singing classical and jazz. She studied "kveding" at Heimdal videregående skole (high school). Sundli is best known as the singer of the band Gåte from 1999 until the band took a break in 2005.

Aase spends a fair amount of time simply laying out, letting Sundli dance away with the tune for long stretches before gently reeling him in with a few graceful treble notes or a hearty but tasteful string of chord pulses. Highlights on this wonderful album include a long and intricate arrangement of "St. Anne's Reel" that segues into a similar Norwegian tune in a dignified, strathspey-ish rhythm, and the slow and heartbreakingly beautiful "Gilde.
