Complete your Asphyx collection. One of the heaviest albums from Netherlands to ever grace the earth! Furious, agressive, with brilliant songwriting and and absolutley insane vocals.

Behold my final testimony I'm the survivor of my race hear the tale of sadness and genocide where the species disappeared and the trees could no longer breathe a drama of collective suicide as we let our children suffer in a paradise long gone utopia has never within reach but we still kept believing in the madness and the lies read my. words that's all that I beseech. As we died because of our ignorance as we died because of greed because of our stupidity now I'm the last one to scream

The mountains now are rising And the oceans start to boil The final convulsion of the earth The heat is melting every stone Volcanes start to roar Cosmic chaos no hope for rebirth I'm the living witness Of the torment and the pain I was doomed to see the planet die Together with the tragedy I'm craving for relief Eternally the. universe will cry. More on Genius. Last One on Earth" Track Info.

Asphyx are very much an overlooked band in the old school death metal scene. Certainly one of the best death metal bands from the Netherlands, their sophomore release, ‘Last One on Earth’ manages to strike the balance between being easily identifiable as a death metal band but also being fairly original too. The main way in which Last One on Earth achieves its excellence is from simplicity. Although the negatives of this album seem very petty, they still exist. Some of the songs, although not actually being all-that lengthy, seem to drag on a little. Songs such as 'The Krusher' and 'Last One on Earth' feel like they could have been cut short slightly. On the whole, Last One on Earth is a very overlooked gem in the old school death metal scene, never quite getting the recognition it deserves.

Features Song Lyrics for Asphyx's Last One On Earth album. Asphyx - Last One On Earth Album Lyrics. 1. Streams Of Ancient Wisdom Lyrics.

Last One on Earth is the second album by Asphyx. It was released in 1992 by Century Media Records. Martin van Drunen recorded the vocals alone in the studio without realizing he was already booted from the band. The vocals were intended to be recorded by Ron van Pol however the other members of Asphyx thought the vocal tracks were fine with Martin singing so they were kept and the lyrics to be sung by van Pol were yet to be written so van Drunen's lyrics were kept as well.

  • There are people who never learn. There are also people who purposefully don’t want to learn. Case in point, Asphyx. We’ve always known the Dutch wanted to make Death Metal. We’ve always known they started their activity as soon as Pestilence kicked out Martin. Does it make any difference? No, as on Last One on Earth the band commits once again the error of making a replica of their previous album The Rack and repeating themselves for other 40 minutes. For how much long would have the band continued to imitate Obituary? Judging by their career, never. Heck, even if John Tardy sang on this album he would be capable of sounding more lively and inspired than Van Drunen’s hopelessly tired and malfunctioning howls here. Don’t hope to find any progress here, and expect instead a regression.
