James Van Praagh jokingly calls himself a small "Medium-at-large. For those who have witnessed him communicate with friends and loved ones, there is little doubt he is a clairvoyant with a huge gift. I confess, I may be a wee bit biased. I’ve known James for several years.

James Douglas Morrison was born in Melbourne, Florida, December 8th, 1943. It appears he began living about 22 years later, when he’d finally crossed the country, where he would enroll in the Theater Arts department at UCLA and, later, meet Ray Manzarek and form the Doors. In his official biography, Morrison filled in, under Family : Deceased. Morrison never talked about his family

James Douglas Morrison was born in Melbourne, Florida, USA on December 8th 1943. His father was an officer in the US Navy (the future Admiral George Stephen Morrison) He had a brother and sister a few years younger than himself. As a youngster in 1947, before the birth of his siblings, Morrison witnessed a bad car accident in which (it is believed) a family of Native Americans were killed. Morrison often said that this was one of the dominant memories of his youth and it featured in a number of his works
