This version is by Jim McCann from his album By Request. Key Signature: B♭ Major with a key change to C Major after the 2nd chorus. Time & Tempo: 4/4 time at 100 bpm (♩). Chords: B♭, B♭7, E♭, F, Cm, Gm → (key change) → C, C7, F, G, Dm, Am. Capo on 3rd fret: play in the key of G Major with a key change to A Major. Most guitarists will be able to play this. It also sounds better using a capo, as the song lends itself to fingerpicking which always sounds better with open chords.

Comic Book & TV person.

Jim McCann (musician). Background information. He began to perform in folk clubs in the area, and, upon his return to Dublin, he joined a group called the Ludlow Trio in 1965. The Ludlow Trio broke up in the following year, and McCann began a solo career, releasing an album, McCann, and making several appearances on several folk programmes for Telefis Éireann. Amongst other pursuits, he spent the next few years involving himself in theatrical productions (starting with Maureen Potter's "Gaels of Laughter" in 1968), and he toured throughout Ireland and Britain.
